Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Off Pitch Africa collects through this website, how it's used, and who else sees it. We keep this simple because we collect very little: there's no user account system, no cookies, and no analytics tracking on this site at the time of writing.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, through two features on this site:

• Contact form (on the Contact page): your name, email address, a subject category, and your message.
• Chat assistant (the chat bubble on every page): whatever you type into the chat window.

We don't use cookies, and we don't run any analytics or advertising tracking scripts on this site.

How the contact form data is handled

Submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. Formspree is SOC 2 Type 2 audited and GDPR/CCPA compliant, encrypts data at rest with AES-256, and uses TLS 1.2+ for data in transit. Off Pitch Africa receives your submission via Formspree's dashboard/email notification in order to respond to you. We don't sell, rent, or share this information with any other third party.

How the chat assistant data is handled

Messages you send to the chat widget are passed to Anthropic's API (the company behind the Claude AI models) to generate a reply. Off Pitch Africa does not store your chat messages anywhere — each conversation exists only in your browser for the duration of your visit. Anthropic's handling of API data is governed by their own policies; you can read more at anthropic.com.

Live social media content

Some pages display photos pulled from our official Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts to keep the site current. Loading these images may involve requests to those platforms' own content delivery networks, subject to their respective privacy policies.

Data retention

We don't operate our own database — nothing submitted through this site is stored on Off Pitch Africa's own servers. Contact form submissions are retained according to Formspree's account settings; chat messages are never stored at all.

Your rights

If you'd like us to delete a contact form submission, or have any question about how your information is handled, email us at offpitchafrica@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
